2025 Sustainability Report
Environmental stewardship
Environmental stewardship is a core value in our daily operations and community investment, and we have a passion for continuous improvement.
“This program is a great example of accountability, community partnership and transparency. Since 2020, with funding from local industry and counsel from local leaders, we’ve been making high-quality data available for the community to view at any time. The University of Texas at Austin independently collects, analyzes and reports our findings each year in this report.”
Minimizing operational waste
We implement programs and systems designed to increase efficiencies and minimize waste across our site:
- Continued reductions in operational waste
- We follow a waste mitigation hierarchy that prioritizes waste avoidance when it’s feasible. When it’s not feasible, we work to reduce, recover, or reuse waste as often as possible.3
- Modification of our design to reuse wastewater

Coastal Solutions Symposium
The Coastal Solutions Symposium is a partnership effort between the Harte Research Institute and Gulf Coast Growth Ventures to bring together graduate students, university researchers from across Texas, and industry scientists to present potential science-based solutions to coastal issues.Learn more about the symposium
Conserving water resources
Our priority is the quality and supply of freshwater in the communities and environments where we work. We focus on prudently managing and monitoring the water we use.2
- Reuse of cooling water 4-5 times on average
- Continued implementation of our water roadmaps3 to further reduce water use
